Marrybrown Chicken in Malacca Premium Outlet My friends told me this fast food chain served good chicken and we cannot find it in Singapore. So we decided to have our lunch here while we wait for the rest finish shopping at he Malacca Premium outlet. This outlet serves Nasi Lemak, durian bites for desserts in addition to the main food, fast food chicken. I only tried the hotouch chicken burger as I am not very hungry. Yes the chicken tasted juicy and not bad. I forgot how much I paid for it, guessed abt RM 12 to RM15?

191005 Malacca Premium Outlets

The outlets looks like nothing much. But there are quite a number of shops in here. However, do not expect too much of the discount as I feel most of them are priced quite similar to those in Singapore. Nice decoration for walk walk as a tourist. You can find Esprit, Nike, Skeches, and quite a number of other brands. There is a food court, Kentucky, Cafe, Marry Brown. Of course our pick is Marrybrown as we think there isn't any outlet in Singapore. I ordered the hottouch burger. Chicken is juicy and not bad for  a fast food. I think I paid RM12.97 for this meal.

191005-Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil, Jonker Street, Malacca

Image
Ghee Hiang -  17, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia They are famous for their Sesame Oil. I purchased the garnished sesame oil. The verdict, I don't see any difference from those we purchased here. But hey, we are tourist. No harm getting a small bottle to try at home.

191005 - Gu Cheng Chicken rice ball, Jonker Street, Malacca

Image
We chance upon this Red shop aroung Jonker street while looking for a place for brunch. The chicken rice ball do not taste like chicken rice. It taste like mashed plain rice. The chicken meat were so so only. The Char Siew and Sao Rou has s sour taste. Not sure if it is the sauce or was it over right food? Well, the tofu was good. That is all. The only good thing about this place is the staff were very friendly. So not bad if we wanted a place to take a break.

191004 The Cookie Bar, Jonker Street, Malacca

Image
The Cookie Bar - Located just a short walk in Jonker Street from H & M. You may see people review about the cookies here. Well I did not try them. Here just to have dinner as I cannot walk too much due to my fractured toe. The food were average. But has good ambiance and good serving staff. The kitchen staff has actually forgotten my order and the poor service staff needs to chase after them and put up with me chasing after them. The Eureka Popcon is located diagonally opposite this shop.

191004-Eureka Popcorn, Jonker Street, Malacca

Image
A little walk in Jonker Street, Malacca from H & M, on your right, there is this shop selling Eureka popcorn. The shop do not have a big signage, so you can easily miss them. The popcorn were displaced inside of the shop. The hint would be, if you see cookie bar on your right of the street, it is one shop down, opposite the cookie bar (on our right). Yes, I know a lot of Singaporeans are going crazy over their pop corns. Me too. I am in love with their Wasabi Popcorns. Priced at RM12.40 per packet. I bought 3 packets.

191005-Jing Yuan Biscuit and Bakery, Malacca

Image
Jing Yuan Biscuit and Bakery Forget about good service staff. The staff is very rude. He has the attitude like why are you guys here ? Get Lost !!! When you bite into their Beh Teh Soh(Top right picture), you will forget about their rudeness. We were there in the morning 9am. They were packing these into 10 per plastic bags. The biscuits were still hot. I bought 1 packet of 10 and now I regret not buying more. Price at RM7 ringgit for 10. It is so cheap for us. When I bite the biscuit, my teeth sunk into its crispiness of its skin and imagine the pastry do not fall sideways. That is how good it is. Tambuan biscuit, or the Tau Sar Piah, salty version from Jin Yuan. When I purchase it, it was already packed into these boxes. The biscuit were like fish ball sizes and looks hard on the outside. Little did I know that these were freshly baked in the morning. Cause when we put one in the mouth, the hard look pastry turn into crispy biscuit with a good aroma tau sar. I...

191005 Souper Tang (Tang shifu), Mid Valley, JB

Image
Souper Tang in Mid Valley JB Malaysia. The corn soup has a clear and herbal taste. It was so good that  I vowed I must bring my family to dine here. The lotus peanut soup was bland and not sure if it happens to this bowl of soup only or was it their standard. Never mind, the next trip I will try their pig stomach soup.  Top Left- Braised pork (Kong Bah) - It was so good. You can taste its QQ feeling and wow. Top right - Pork ribs with chestnut. My friend loves this because of the chestnut. For me, it is so so cause I am not a fan of pork ribs and chestnut. Bottom left- Spinach - Normal restaurant standard. Bottom right - Fish with ginger - I like its ginger fragrance on its fish. Most recommended desserts. Tofu was soft and silky. The Herbal Jelly (guilin gao) tasted unique. Another food that I vowed to bring my family here to try.  This is what happened after I tasted the herbal jelly. Immediately I get the serving staff to packed 2 serving home f...
